TOS Boss WeakAuras

*Looking at the functionality of this weakauras for TOS bosses i would recommend everyone using it

Positioning

  • Goroth should be tanked near the center of the room, slightly off to one side.
  • Melee DPS should stand between the boss and the middle of the room.
  • Ranged DPS should be in a small group, generally in a close line towards the boss.
  • This helps spikes from Infernal Spikes form in a line, making it easier to hit multiple spikes during Shattering Star.

Heroic

Extra ability call Fel Eruption will cover a corner of the room with fire on the floor and will destroy any spike within that section of the room, you can see which section of the room will be next as the pool will start bubbling in that area

Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

We advise you to use  Bloodlust/ Heroism/ Time Warp at the pull as this ensures best cooldown synergy and maximum raid DPS, noticeably shortening the fight length.

Strategies by Role

Hopefully these strategies and tips in our Goroth guide will help you to defeat this encounter!

All Roles

DPS

  • If targeted by Shattering Star, move so that the path of the star goes through multiple spikes.
  • Do not destroy all of the spikes, as you’ll need at least one up during Infernal Burning.
  • If targeted by Crashing Comet, move away from spikes and other players.

Healer

  • After Shattering Star, prepare to heal the group quickly, as it does very high raid-wide damage.

Tanks

  • Do not move the boss if possible, taking special care not to move him near any spikes.
  • Goroth will destroy spikes if he’s near them.
  • When you receive the Burning Armor debuff, run away from the raid and all spikes. Use movement abilities if possible.
  • When the main tank receives Burning Armor, the off tank should taunt the boss.

Positioning

  • Atrigan needs to be tanked facing away from any DPS or healers.
  • Belac does not require tanking, as he is a caster that will not move.
  • Bosses should be separated.
  • Ranged DPS and healers should loosely spread throughout the room.
  • DPS should move back and forth between each boss, based on the current abilities.

Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

We advise you to use  Bloodlust/ Heroism/ Time Warp at the pull, as this ensures best cooldown synergy and maximum raid DPS, noticeably shortening the fight length.

Positioning

Strategies by Role

Hopefully these strategies and tips in our Maiden of Vigilance guide will help you to defeat this encounter!

All Roles

  • Taking damage from opposing colored Hammers, Echoes, Fragments, and players will trigger Unstable Soul
  • If afflicted by Unstable Soul, jump in the pit in the middle of the room before the debuff times out to avoid blowing up the raid
  • In Phase 2, soak Fragments of the same color as your debuff
  • To split the damage taken when the boss casts Hammer, make sure to stand within 20 yards of the boss if it matches your color

DPS

  • In Phase 2, the boss will apply a large shield to herself which needs to be damaged off so the boss can be interrupted
  • In Phase 2, picking up Fragments of the same color will provide a damage buff

Healers

  • The raid will be taking a large amount of damage after Mass Instability is cast
  • If an Unstable Soul explosion happens in the raid, a healing cooldown will be necessary
  • In Phase 2, picking up Fragments of the same color will provide a healing buff

Tanks

Maiden of Virtue Positioning P1

During Phase 2, the boss will leap away, stunning players momentarily. The Maiden will shield herself and begin a channel, increasing in intensity with each tick that will wipe that raid after it reaches 30 stacks. The raid must collect Essence Fragments to boost their damage and healing and break the shield. Once the Titanic Bulwark is broken, the channel can be interrupted and Phase 1 positioning resumes.

Positioning

  • In Phase 1, one tank will be holding the Fallen Avatar, while the other tank will be moving the Maiden of Valor to block the beam from the green pylon going to the boss
  • A tank must always be in melee range of the boss, otherwise he will hit the entire raid
  • The raid needs to be spread across the room during both phases
  • In Phase 2, tank the boss near the edge of the platform to minimize the destruction from Rupture Realities

Strategies by Role

Hopefully these strategies and tips in our Fallen Avatar guide will help you to defeat this encounter!

All Roles

Phase 1

  • The purple pylon will send a beam directly to the boss, this needs to be soaked by players to prevent the boss from reaching 100 energy
  • The boss will transition to Phase 2 when he reaches 100 energy, at this point he will heal in proportion to how much health the Maiden of Valor has
  • Keeping the boss in Phase 1 until the Maiden of Valor is dead, which will happen after four rounds of Cleansing Protocols, is crucial to having a successful Phase 2
  • The Containment Pylon can only be soaked by the Maiden of Valor, so the tank needs to always move her to where the green beam is
  • If targeted by Unbound Chaos, run until the debuff runs out and avoid standing in the green puddles it leaves behind
  • If targeted by Shadowy Blades, run to the edge of the room, because you will leave a permanent puddle behind when hit
  • When the boss is casting Rupture Realities, run away from him, because it does fall off damage

Phase 2

  • When the boss casts Rupture Realities, run away from him, because he will destroy part of the platform around him
  • Help players targeted by the Dark Mark by standing near them to split the damage taken

DPS

  • When the Maiden of Valor reaches 100 energy, her shield needs to be quickly damaged off to interrupt her cast
  • Always damage the boss unless the Maiden of Valor is at 100 energy

Healers

  • Tanks will be taking large amount of damage when at two stacks of Desolate
  • The raid will take large AOE damage when Rupture Realities is cast
  • Players affected by the healing reduction will require more healing than others

Tanks

  • Taunt swap when one of the tanks is at two stacks of Desolate
  • Use a larger cooldown for the second application of Desolate
  • In Phase 2, after the boss casts Rupture Realities, quickly move him out of the lava

Positioning

This is a three phase fight with two intermission phases. Each phase requires slightly different positioning, which will be broken down below phase by phase

  • Phase 1:
    • Tank the boss at the edge where he spawns
    • During Rupturing Singularity the entire raid needs to move close to the impact point, and position to get knocked back towards the corners of the room
    • Players afflicted with Shadow Reflection should move to the same side of the room

    Intermission: Eternal Flame

  • Phase 2:
    • The same positioning applies as phase 1, but the raid needs to be ready to soak Focused Dreadflame when it targets a player

    Intermission: Deceiver’s Veil

    • Because of the limited vision, players need to navigate with the help of allies until all the Shadowsouls are killed
    • Tanks should pick up Illidan’s Sightless Gaze to help the raid navigate
  • Phase 3:

DPS

Healers

  • Tanks will take more damage when affected by Felclaws
  • A large amount of raid damage will happen after Armageddon is soaked
  • Choking Shadow in the second Intermission phase applies an increasing heal absorb to all players, which needs to be healed off

Tanks

  • After the boss applies Felclaws to himself, the tank holding him should use a defensive, and after the buff runs out on the boss, the other tank should taunt
  • Move close to Rupturing Singularity, otherwise you will be knocked off the platform
  • Alternate soaking Armageddon Hail, which is a slightly larger circle then Armageddon Rain
  • In the second Intermission Phase, help navigate the raid by picking up the Illidan’s Sightless Gaze
